Mother’s Day Brunch Celebrates Women’s Health

June 08,2024

Fibroid Fighters hosted a successful Mother’s Day Brunch in Atlanta, GA, this May to kick-start Fibroid Awareness Month. The event aimed to empower women with knowledge, resources, and a supportive community to navigate their journey with fibroids.

Raising Awareness and Building Connections

The event brought together women from diverse backgrounds, all united by a common experience with fibroids. Attendees enjoyed informative presentations from leading healthcare professionals who shed light on fibroids, their symptoms, and various treatment options.

Fibroid Fighter’s Founder Dr. Yan Katsnelson provided a keynote address, highlighting the need for more transparency between doctor and patient regarding treatment options. Unfortunately, the conversation surrounding fibroid treatment can often lack transparency. Women may not be fully informed about all their options, leading to unnecessary procedures like hysterectomies. Increased transparency between doctors and patients is crucial. Open discussions about minimally invasive treatments like uterine fibroid embolization ( UFE) can empower women to make informed decisions about their healthcare and potentially preserve their reproductive futures.
