‘The Circle’ Star Raven Sutton Shares Personal Diagnosis to Educate and Empower

December 15,2025

Raven Sutton is a deaf advocate and social media influencer who made history as the first deaf contestant on Netflix’s The Circle, and also partnered with the Felton Institute’s Deaf Community Counseling Services (DCCS) to champion mental health awareness. Sutton continues her mission to elevate diverse voices and “normalize deaf people in the media,” as she brings her background in social work and her life experience to her powerful platform.

However, the reality star is also now publicly sharing a personal health update. Sutton was recently diagnosed with uterine fibroids. This diagnosis provides an answer to the severe and prolonged abdominal bloating she has been experiencing, which had caused her stomach to visibly bulge.

Sutton has spoken out about the constant, frustrating, and often rude inquiries she received from people around her, who repeatedly asked if she was pregnant due to the swelling. By disclosing her diagnosis, the influential advocate is not only highlighting the often-misunderstood symptoms of fibroids but also challenging the inappropriate scrutiny women face about their bodies.

Sutton’s work, which is built on helping others and fighting for greater representation and understanding, now expands to include women’s health awareness alongside her vital advocacy for the Deaf community’s mental health resources.
