Hosted by Reality TV star Cynthia Bailey and celebrity makeup artist Kym Lee, both women’s health advocates and fibroid ambassadors, the event featured a panel of experts discussing the complexities of uterine fibroids.
This year’s annual fibroid awareness event introduced the Flora Katsnelson Award for Excellence by recognizing two highly notable figures for their contribution to fibroid care.
The Flora Award for Excellence
The Flora Katsnelson Award for Excellence has been established to commemorate the legacy of Dr. Flora Katsnelson, a pioneering physician, philanthropist, and businesswoman. It recognizes individuals who have made a difference in healthcare.
Dr. Flora Katsnelson and her husband, Dr. Yan Katsnelson, co-founded the Fibroid Fighters Foundation to advance research and treatment for uterine fibroids and patient empowerment.
The evening’s pinnacle was the Flora Award for Excellence presentation to Dr. Jacob White, Director of Medical Services, USA Fibroid Centers, and Eugenia Buie, host of IG Live, “Girls Let’s Chat” by Dr. Yan Katsnelson.
Dr. Jacob White, recognized for his innovative work in uterine fibroid embolization, expressed deep gratitude for the Flora Award.
